iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max leaks may have shocked Apple fans, especially after knowing what chipset will power these phones. Unlike the ritual every year, Apple is said to be using the same A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13, most likely to save on costs and avoid the chip shortage situation. Hence, we all assumed that the iPhone 14 won’t be any faster than the iPhone 13. However, a new leak now suggests that Apple has found a way to make the iPhone 14 faster despite using the same A15 chipset.

Based on a new piece of information from tipster @VNchocoTaco, it is said that the A15 Bionic chipset on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will actually be faster than the ones on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini. It is said that Apple will use a new cellular modem as well as change the internal designs, all of which is expected to boost the performance of the chipset. Hence, for those worrying about performance, the new iPhone 14 should be much faster than iPhone 13 models.

iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max will be faster

Coupled with the previous leaks, it seems the A15 chip on the iPhone 14 will be better optimised to offer more. It has been said that the iPhone 14 will have 6GB of RAM, which is the same RAM as the Pro models. However, it will be a slightly slower LPDDR4X RAM compared to the LPDDR5 RAM on the Pro variants.

The A15 Bionic chip is based on a 5nm manufacturing process and many worry whether it will be able to keep up with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phones as well as the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones from next year, which could be based on the 3nm platform. However, in the real world, the iPhone 13 is among the fastest phones you can buy and with iOS 15 at the helm, it can put down its power more efficiently.

The A15 has been found to be good enough to power the iPhone SE 3rd Gen too, which makes possible good battery life and great performance. The chip can run all games and apps with ease even in 2022 and it could continue to do so years down the line.
