The iOS 15 update has been out now for a few weeks and so far, the issues are reportedly lesser than what the previous releases brought to the table. The new OS introduces Focus modes and Live Text, among others to spice up your ageing iPhone. However, one app is giving iPhones on iOS 15 a nightmare.
Several users have reported the Spotify app to drain battery much faster than usual. In fact, some users are sharing stats of the Spotify app draining almost 32 percent of the overall battery life. The app’s developers currently have no clue about the issue and are working on a fix as of now.
While the app developers are currently looking for a solution to the issue, they have suggested a solution fix this issue.
- Users can delete and reinstall the app
- Users can turn off background refresh for the Spotify app. For this, you need to go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Turn off toggle for Spotify app.
- Users are also requested to check for the latest updates rolled out on the App Store.
With the iOS 15 update, Apple is extending the span of supported devices to six years. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6S Plus from 2015 are eligible to get the latest iOS 15 update. Even the original iPhone SE from 2016 with its small 4.7-inch display is getting the iOS 15 update, although not all the features.
The iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone X, and all the newer iPhone models launched ever are eligible to get the iOS 15 update. The recently launched iPhone 13 series, which includes the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, have shipped with iOS 15 out of the box.
