Moto G Stylus to get minimum updates in 2021

Motorola launched the Moto G Stylus smartphone back in February this year. Now, a new report details the features that the 2021 version of Motorola’s stylus-equipped phone is expected to sport.

As per a report by Evan Blass in partnership with Voice, Moto G Stylus 2021 will feature minimum upgrades over the phone’s 2020 version. The Moto G Stylus 2021 is tipped to get a 6.81-inch with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, which is up from the 2020 version’s 6.4-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2300 pixels.

The phone is expected to be powered by a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor that is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, which is the same space that is available in the 2020 version. This means that the Moto G Stylus 2021 will miss out on 5G connectivity. Additionally, the phone is expected to run on Android 10 out-of-the-box and be backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The phone that is codenamed Minsk bears the model number XT2115 and it will come with a fingerprint sensor that is placed on the side, which is a diversion from the 2020 version that has a fingerprint sensor at the back. The phone is also expected to miss NFC.

As far as the camera configuration is concerned, the tipster says that the Moto G Stylus 2021 is tipped to get a quad-camera module that consists of a 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the phone is tipped to get a 16-megapixel selfie camera that is housed inside a punch-hole display that is tucked towards the upper-left corner of the display.

Lenovo announced the phone in February and released it in April this year. It is possible that the company follows a similar trend for the next version of the phone next year.
