Moto G9 Power with massive 6,000mAh battery goes official

Motorola is not just expanding its premium smartphone lineup with Moto Razr but also has a focus on the budget segment. Expanding the portfolio, it has now launched the Moto G9 Power in the UK. The handset costs EUR 199 (roughly Rs. 17,400) for the 4GB RAM+128GB option and will be available in Electric Violet and Metallic Sage colour models. It will also be coming to more regions in future including Asia, Latin America and Middle East. There’s no word on the India availability.

As for the specifications, the Moto G9 Power comes with a 6.8-inch HD+ (720x1,640 pixels) IPS display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor. This is supported by 4GB RAM and 128GB storage as mentioned above. However, the handset supports microsD card slot up to 512GB.

On the camera front, the G9 Power has three sensors at the back including a 64-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.79), 2-megapixel macro sensor (f/2.4) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor(f/2.4). For selfies, you get a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.

However, the highlight in Moto G9 Power is its battery capacity of 6,000mAh. Besides this, the handset supports 20W fast charging as well. As per the firm, this handset can stay alive for up to 60 hours on normal usage. Some other features include 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v5, NFC and USB Type-C port.

While the G9 Power has launched in the UK, the firm is expected to bring a budget 5G handset to users as well. Codenamed Kiev, the upcoming Motorola has leaked multiple times ahead of the official launch. The phone is likely to debut as Moto G 5G, which will complement the company’s older Moto G 5G Plus.
