Motorola to soon launch the Moto Edge 20 Pro in India; check specs and likely price

Motorola has confirmed that it will be launching the Edge 20 Pro in India soon. To recall, the smartphone was launched as Edge S Pro in China last month. Now, the India launch of Moto Edge 20 Pro has been confirmed by a tweet from the company's India Head. It could succeed the Motorola Edge that was launched in India last year. The upcoming phone will go up against the other Snapdragon 870-powered smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi 11x, OnePlus 9R and Vivo X60 Pro

The latest development was confirmed by the Country Head of Motorola India, Prashanth Mani (@PrashanthMani10) on Twitter. He did not confirm the exact launch date of the device but said that the company will launch the Moto Edge 20 Pro in India soon.

The Moto Edge 20 Pro is priced at EUR 699.99 (approx. ₹60,900) for its 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It sells in Indigo Vegan Leather and Midnight Blue colour options. However, the China pricing is cheaper. The smartphone was announced in China at CNY 2499 (approx. ₹28,600) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

The Moto Edge 20 Pro features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Amazon HDR support. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. The device is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM along with 256GB of onboard UFS 3.1 storage. To recall, the original Moto Edge was launched in just one storage configuration on 12GB + 256GB in India.

As for the optics, the smartphone sports a triple rear camera setup that is led by a 108MP primary camera. It is accompanied by a 16MP ultrawide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto sensor with support for 5X high-resolution optical zoom and 50X Super Zoom. On the front lies a 16MP selfie shooter.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The Moto Edge 20 Pro packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30W TurboPower fast charging. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
