Oppo A53 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC officially launched

Oppo has officially launched the A53 5G smartphone. Available in China initially, the phone comes with some minor updates over the 4G version. It is priced at CNY 1,299 ( ₹14,600 approximately).

Oppo A53 5G comes with a 6.5-inch full HD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. It also has 480 nits of brightness. The phone runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 on top.

On the back, Oppo A53 5G has a triple rear camera setup. The configuration consists of a 16-megapixel f/2.2 primary sensor, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

For performance, Oppo A53 5G runs on MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor coupled with 4GB and 6GB RAM. It has 128GB of built-in storage. The phone does not have a microSD slot for expandable storage. The phone draws power from a 4,040mAh battery with 10W charging.

It measures 162.2 x 75 x 7.9 mm and weighs 175 grams.

Oppo offers 4G version of A53 in India. Launched in August this year, the phone is priced at ₹12,990. The phone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate. It also has up to 120Hz sampling rate.

The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor coupled with 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB RAM and storage. The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with an 18W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android 10-based ColorOS.

Oppo A53 sports as many as three rear cameras. The configuration includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
