Oppo A74 5G to launch in India on April 20

Oppo has announced the launch date of a new 5G smartphone in India. Oppo A74 5G will launch in India on April 20. The company has also confirmed that the Oppo A74 5G will be priced under ₹20,000 making it their cheapest 5G offering yet.

Oppo A74 5G was made official in Thailand earlier this month. The smartphone features a punch-hole display, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It comes in two colour options of Fluid Black and Space Silver. Oppo launched the A74 4G as well but there’s no word on its India launch yet.

In terms of specs, Oppo A74 5G features a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor paired with AdrenoTM 619 GPU. It comes in only one variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Oppo A74 5G has a quad camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. For selfies, there’s a 16-megapixel front camera. Some of the camera features include night mode, pro mode, panorama, Portrait mode, time-lapse, Slow-motion mode, Text scan mode and Google Lens.

The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. On the software front, it runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top. In addition to a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Oppo A42 5G also supports face unlock. The smartphone’s connectivity options include dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, 5G and 4G LTE. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
