Smartphone brand Realme today previewed its flagship smartphone the Realme GT at MWC Shanghai 2021. Besides, the company also announced its “Dual Platform-Dual Flagship” strategy for its mid to high end product lineup. According to the firm, the Realme GT smartphone series comes as a part of the “Dual Platform-Dual Flagship” strategy. The company has also confirmed that the device is powered by the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and also has a stainless steel VC cooling system.
The new cooling system improves the handset's heat dissipation performance by applying stainless steel in the cooling system and optimizing the heat dissipation structure. Since the device is based on the concept of GT sports cars, it has a dual tone Vegan Leather Design including two different kinds of material in black and yellow colors.
The company says that to achieve this design, it used a one piece molding process for the back cover and the inner frame. This resulted in the Vegan Leather fitting more tightly with the black glossy racetrack finish.
Realme adds that the GT smartphone will be officially released on March 4. However, it has not yet confirmed when this will be going on sale globally or when it will launch in India.
As for the “Dual Platform-Dual Flagship” strategy, Realme says that it will adopt both Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series and MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity series 5G platform, and will release two flagship series. While one of them will be focusing on the performance aspect, the other one will have a focus on the camera technology.
