Realme on Thursday announced that it would launch a new variant of its Realme GT on March 31. Called Realme GT Neo, the handset will first launch in China. As of now, there is no word on the availability of the phone in other markets such as India.
Realme in its official announcement did not disclose any specification of the upcoming phone. The company did confirm the phone will run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 processor. So far, the GT Neo has appeared in multiple leaks. Just recently, the phone with model code RMX3116 was spotted on China’s TENAA certification website.
The listing revealed the phone comes with a 6.5-inch display. The phone is also said to come with a 4,400mAh battery and Android 11 out-of-the-box.
Realme GT Neo will join the company’s Realme GT, which launched earlier this month. The smartphone houses a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
For performance, the handset relies upon Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 888 processor with 5G support and Adreno 660 GPU for graphics. The processor is coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage.
In the camera department, Realme GT has a triple-sensor setup on the back. It consists of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Other features of the Realme GT are Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. It also comes with a 4,500mAh battery. There is also an under-display fingerprint reader.
