33% charge in just 3 minutes, Realme launches 125W UltraDART Flash Charging tech

Realme on Thursday announced the launch of 125W UltraDART Flash Charging solution. The company claims the charging technology can power up a 5G smartphone with a battery capacity of 4,000mAh up to 33% in just 3 minutes. The same can be fully charged to 100% in just 20 minutes.

Realme said that the charging time could be reduced to 13 minutes approximately if temperature control is skipped.

“With this technology, realme has ensured that the smartphone gets fully charged in just 20 minutes, keeping in mind future commercialization and safety aspects. realme specially controls the smartphone temperature under 40°C to facilitate smart and safe charging speed, instead of pursuing extreme fast charging speed, and risking danger, thereby,” it said in a release.

Realme did not disclose which phone will come with the latest high-speed charger.

Realme’s new 125W fast charging technology comes a day after Oppo unveiled its fast charging technology with same Watts capacity. Oppo said its new charging technology is based on its SuperVooc standard. Oppo’s new mobile charging technology can charge a 4,000mAh battery up to 41% and up to 100% in just 20 minutes.

It is worth noting that Vivo is also working on a similar fast charging technology. The company is expected to launch a gaming phone via its iQoo brand with a 120W fast charger. The technology is said to deliver up to 50% of charge to a 4,000mAh battery in just 5 minutes.

Apart from Vivo, Oppo, and Realme, Xiaomi is also working on a 100W SuperCharge Turbo that can charge a 4,000mAh battery to 100% in just 17 minutes.
