Redmi 9 Prime to go on sale today at 12 noon, all you need to know

Xiaomi’s latest budget smartphone ‘Redmi 9 Prime’ will be available to purchase today. Redmi 9 Prime comes with a 5,020mAh battery and MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset.

There will be a flash sale for the Redmi 9 Prime later today at 12 PM via mi.com. Since it’s a flash sale, the smartphone will most likely be sold out really quick so it’s best to order just as the sale starts. Redmi 9 Prime starts at ₹9,999 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone also comes with 128GB storage which is priced at ₹11,999. It has four colour options of ‘Matte Black’, ‘Mint Green’, ‘Space Blue’ and ‘Sunrise Flare’.

In terms of specs, Redmi 9 Prime features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone comes with P2i coating for splash resistance. It has four rear cameras featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel front camera.

In addition to a 5,020mAh battery, the smartphone has support for up to 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Xiaomi says the phone can go on for two days on a single charge. Connectivity options on the Redmi 9 Prime include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, VoWiFi, and dual VoLTE. The smartphone has a rear fingerprint sensor and facial recognition as well. On the software front, it runs MIUI based on Android 10 with support for dark mode.
