Redmi K40 spotted on TENAA ahead of launch

Xiaomi is scheduled to launch Redmi K40 in China on February 25. Now two Redmi K40 smartphones along with a new Mi 10 variant have appeared on TENAA.

The TENAA listing features two Redmi K40 smartphones with the model numbers M2012K11AC and M2012K11C. The listing doesn’t have detailed specs of the phones like it usually does. But it does mention that the Redmi K40 smartphones will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, and the battery capacity will most likely be 4,500mAh. The smartphones will also run Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Redmi K40 is teased to feature the smallest punch-hole camera ever on a smartphone. We might also see a FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Redmi K40 is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. Redmi K40 is also rumoured to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor.

The company has also teased a battery capacity over 4,000mAh that is claimed to have 64% of juice even after 10.5 hours of usage. Redmi K40 will most likely come with 5G support as well. Its pricing has also leaked to start at CNY 2,999 ( ₹34,000 approx) for the base model.

As for the Mi 10 smartphone, it has been listed with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, and a 4,680mAh battery. The smartphone looks like the Mi 10 Ultra but with a slightly shorter and smaller body. There have been reports of a Mi 10 Lite in the works but nothing is confirmed yet.
