Redmi Note 10 global variant could feature Snapdragon 678 SoC

Xiaomi will unveil Redmi Note 10 series in India on March 4. Following the India launch, Xiaomi will reportedly soon roll out the series in other markets as well. Ahead of the official announcement, details of the global version of Redmi Note 10 have leaked online.

According to the leak, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 10 will come with a 6.43-inch display with an AMOLED panel. An alleged live image of the phone reveals a punch-hole camera on the front. Interestingly, the global variant will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 678 processor.

Gizmochina points out that the SD 678 is a 4G chip. Qualcomm had introduced the processor in December last year. The processor is said to be the successor to Snapdragon 675.

The leak further reveals the phone comes with a 5,000mAh battery. It will also come with a 33W fast charging support. Other new leaked specifications are a 48-megapixel primary camera sensor on the back and an Android 11-based MIUI 12 out-of-the-box.

That said, Xiaomi is building hype around the new handset series through a series of official teasers. Last week, company VP Manu Kumar Jain posed with the new phone. His tweet also confirmed one of the models in the smartphone series would come with a 108-megapixel camera.

According to reports, the new handset series will feature at least three models, Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. The nomenclature is similar to the predecessor, Redmi Note 9 series, in India.

The top-end model Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is rumoured to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G processor with 5G. It will also feature an IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a quad-camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor and a 5,050mAh battery.
