Samsung may continue with the “Ultra” moniker with the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series. The company had introduced the Ultra name for its highest-end model in the Galaxy S20 series earlier this year.
According to an XDA Developers report, Samsung’s Ultra variant of Galaxy Note 20 has been spotted on Bluetooth Launch Studio website. A Samsung smartphone with model number “SM-N986U” is listed with the “Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra” name.
With the Ultra branding coming to Galaxy Note 20, Samsung could drop the “Plus” branding for the more premium model, says the report. It is worth noting that Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series is comprised of Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The Ultra model comes with top-of-the-line specifications for a premium phone such as 108-megapixel camera, and up to 16GB of RAM.
The report further points out that the leaked specifications and renders of Galaxy Note 20 Plus have been very similar to the Ultra variant of Galaxy S20. According to rumours, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus, now dubbed as Galaxy S20 Ultra, has a 108-megapixel camera along with the 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The phone is said to have a 6.9-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
