Samsung Galaxy M12 appears to be inching closer to the official launch as the phone has made appearances on different certification websites. A Bluetooth SIG listing confirms the Galaxy M12 name whereas Wi-Fi Alliance listing assures an imminent launch.
Samsung Galaxy M12 is also seen with model numbers SM-M12FG/DS and SM-F12G/DS, most likely for different markets. Mysmartprice in its report points out that the SM-F12G model number could mean an F-version of the phone. The listings reveal Samsung Galaxy M12 will run on Android 11 out-of-the-box.
According to older leaks and rumours, Samsung Galaxy M12 could launch with a mammoth 7,000mAh battery. The phone is said to come with the dual-textured finish on the back. It will have a familiar square camera module with multiple sensors. The phone is said to be a Galaxy A42-lookalike.
In terms of specifications, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy M12 will come with a 6.5-inch display. The phone could run on Exynos 9611 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy M12 would offer a combination of 48-megapixel, 8-megapixel, and 5-megapixel sensors. For selfies, it could offer a 16-megapixel camera.
Rumours claim the phone will measure 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm. The phone is most likely to have a plastic shell on the back. It will house a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Separately, Samsung is also working on a Galaxy M42 with a 6,000mAh battery. The phone will reportedly feature a 64-megapixel primary sensor on the back and 128GB built-in storage. According to reports, Samsung Galaxy M42 will be a toned-down version of the Galaxy A42 5G.
