Samsung Galaxy M51 to launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset

Samsung is scheduled to launch the Galaxy M51 in India on September 10. The smartphone has already made its debut in Germany, and India will be the second market to get the new phone. Ahead of the launch, Samsung has revealed the processor for the Galaxy M51, a detail that was missing in the official launch.

Samsung’s teaser page for the Galaxy M51 highlights some of the key specs of the smartphone. Galaxy M51 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G chipset. This chipset is similar to the Snapdragon 730 but with more gaming capabilities. There are a good number of phones that use the Snapdragon 730G including Samsung’s own Galaxy A80. There's Vivo X50, Realme X2, and Oppo Reno 2 as well with the same chipset.

As for the rest of the specs, we already know what to expect. The highlight of the phone is its massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. Galaxy M51 has a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display with an Infinity-O cutout. The smartphone packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card.

There are four rear cameras on the Galaxy M51 featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, Galaxy M51 has a 32-megapixel camera.

All that’s left to know is the price of the smartphone. In Germany, Galaxy M51 costs 360 euros which translates to roughly ₹31,400. The smartphone is said to be priced between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000 in India.
