Samsung Galaxy Note20’s display specs tipped and they’re not impressive

It looks like Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy Note20, will at least have one SKU that will feature not-so-premium features. As per the tipster @Universelce, one of the iterations of Galaxy Note20 could feature a flat screen and not a curved display as seen in last year’s Galaxy Note 10. In addition to this, the particular device could feature a 60Hz refresh rate screen, which once again, will be a let down after Samsung introduced 120Hz in Galaxy S20 series. And topping all this is the fact that the display will have FHD resolution.

Speculations indicate that this could be just one of Samsung’s ways to push users to buy the more premium version of Galaxy Note20. However, nothing can be said for sure for now.

In case you forgot, Samsung made a similar move last year with the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, The Galaxy Note 10 came with a smaller, flat screen, less RAM and a less powerful camera.

Nonetheless, with Galaxy Note20 sporting features that are not as powerful or modern, one can even expect it to be priced lower than usual. We will likely see the handset being launched during the company’s ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event, which is said to take place in August. At the same event, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Fold 2, Z Flip 5G and the much-anticipated Galaxy Watch 3 wearable.

As confirmed by tipster Jon Prosser, the Galaxy Note20 is expected to come in four colour options - Black, White/Grey, Copper and Mint Green. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is expected to arrive in Black and Copper.

Recent rumours have also pointed out at some other features that might be coming in Galaxy Note 20 series. Samsung is said to be working on a 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HM1 sensor successor.the ISOCELL Bright HM2 sensor will use the company’s Nonacell technology. This will feature a combination of 0.8-micrometer pixels to create a bigger 2.4-micrometer pixels. And these are said to make a debut in Galaxy Note 20 smartphones.

Some other features expected are Exynos 992 processor, Snapdragon 865 processor, up to 16GB RAM and 4300mAh battery.
