Where updates are concerned, Samsung is fast emerging as one of the most reliable OEMs and the company is keeping up the good work with the release of Android 11 based OneUI 3.0 interface for the Samsung Galaxy S10.
According to reports, Galaxy S10 and S10e users in Europe have begun receiving the update, which brings all of Samsung’s improvements to Android 11 along with all of Google’s enhancements including Conversation improvements to the notification area, chat bubbles, improved permissions and privacy controls.
The South Korean manufacturer has largely managed to stick to its update schedule so far, with most of the company’s latest flagships having already been updated to Android 11. The company will now work on releasing the platform update to its midrange and budget models throughout the rest of the year, based on the schedule released last year.
The update to the S10 follows hot on the heels of Samsung’s Android 11 rollout to the Galaxy Z Flip at the start of the month and Galaxy Note 10 preceding that. In addition, the company is also rolling out the January security update to the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy Z Flip.
Samsung continues to remain the only OEM that is either matching Google’s pace when it comes to releasing security updates or actually beating the Pixels to the punch like it has several times in the past year and a half. In fact, HT Tech had reported on January 4 that the January security update was rolling out to Galaxy S9 users in Germany before the company’s newer models.
