Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition 5G unofficial renders give a closer look at the design

Samsung will soon launch a special edition of its flagship Galaxy S20. Called Galaxy S20 Fan Edition 5G, the smartphone has made multiple unofficial appearances ahead an official launch. Now, Galaxy S20 FE 5G has been illustrated in high resolution renders, giving a much closer look at the design of the phone.

Published by Onleaks and pricebaba, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G renders reveal matte-finish back panel, a familiar rectangular camera module, and a flatter display on the front. It has metallic frames on the sides. The renders suggest the phone will have a punch-hole camera on the top of the display and has relatively thicker bezels on the sides. The back-camera module also sits flat, contrary to a protruding module on the newer Galaxy Note 20.

The phone will not come with the 3.5mm headphone jack, a new normal for Samsung’s premium smartphones. The volume and power buttons are located on the right side. The bottom features the USB Type-C port and speaker grille. The SIM tray is on the top of the phone.

As seen in the renders, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G will have as many as three rear cameras. The configuration is said to be a 12-megapixel primary sensor (Sony IMX555), 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

For performance, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G will have the same processor as the Note 20 and S20 phones. A recent Geekbench listing revealed, Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will pack 8GB of RAM and Android 10. There could be another version of the phone with Snapdragon 865 processor and 6GB of RAM.

Other key features expected from the phone include a .5-inch or 6.7-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,500mAh battery, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Samsung has not officially revealed the launch date of Galaxy S20 Fan Edition so far. According to reports, it would arrive in the further quarter later this year.
