Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra LEAKS! Feeling familiar, Galaxy Note fans?

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra leaked already! The images of the Galaxy S22 Ultra have surfaced on the web, revealing a design that is very familiar to the older Galaxy Note series. The images show the Galaxy S22 Ultra prototype device that holds the S Pen inside the chassis, similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. In fact, the design is familiar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, save for a few changes.

The front appears to be largely similar to the Note 20 Ultra, complete with its narrow bezels on the front and the small display cutout to hold the selfie camera. The display even curves slightly towards the edges. The rear seems like a fusion of the camera design from the S21 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra, without the rectangular camera bump. Based on Samsung’s track record, the Galaxy S series usually launched in February of every year. Hence, we could assume this one to end up being the actual Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The S Pen seems to be the biggest addition in the S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S21 Ultra came with support of a S Pen earlier this year. However, the S Pen stylus does not sit inside the phone’s chassis. An in-built silo for the S Pen in the Galaxy S22 Ultra could help Samsung phase out the Note lineup entirely.

The rest of the features are expected to remain unchanged. The cameras, for instance, are likely to remain unchanged. The main camera is said to have the same 10MP camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP 3X telephoto camera, and a 10MP 10X zoom camera.

Samsung is most likely going to use the Snapdragon 898 chipset, or the next-gen flagship Exynos chip with the custom AMD GPU baked-in. What remains to be seen is whether the battery capacity remains the same as the S22 Ultra.
