Samsung launched the 5G-enabled Galaxy Flip smartphone back in July this year. And now we have details about the company’s next-generation Galaxy Flip smartphone, that is, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2.
As per a report by news display analyst Ross Young, Samsung will not be launching the Galaxy Z Flip 2 along with its next-generation premium-budget Galaxy S21 series smartphones. For your reference, the Galaxy S21 series smartphones are tipped to launch in January 2021, as against the February-March timeline and they are tipped to go on sale in the end of January 2021 or latest by February 2021.
Now, Young says that the Galaxy Z Flip 2 will be launched in the Spring of 2021. In a separate post on Twitter, the analyst said that the launch of the company’s foldable smartphone is being moved back to Summer. While the tipster didn’t share a timeline about the launch, it is not difficult to assume that the phone should be launched around May 2021.
In addition to the launch date, new reports have also shared details about the phone’s specifications. The tipster who goes by the name Ricciolo on Twitter says that the Galaxy Z Flip 2 will come with stereo speakers. This is an important upgrade over the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphones that feature downward-firing mono speakers.
Meanwhile, an older report by Lets Go Digital claims that the phone will come with a triple rare camera setup wherein the cameras are either stacked vertically or horizontally on the top. The phone is also tipped to get a small LCD display that is stacked right next to the rear camera setup.
That said, all these details should be taken with a pinch of salt. As there is no confirmation from the company in this regard yet.
