Samsung’s cheaper Galaxy Z Fold Lite is coming to India soon

Samsung’s long-rumoured plans of expanding its foldable smartphone line might be finally coming to fruition with the more affordable device to complement the Galaxy Z Fold 2. According to reports, the cheaper version of the foldable is going to have the same form factor as.

GSMArena calls it the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Lite though that is not the official name. The foldable smartphone, according to rumours, comes with the model number SM-F415F. 

In Samsung’s naming scheme, the first ‘F’ in the model number stands for ‘foldable’ and the number indicates that this is the lower-end version of the original Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and thus also lower priced.

This particular model number has also been spotted on the support pages of Samsung’s official website in India. These support pages do not furnish any further details except the fact that the ‘Lite’ Fold will be launching in the country.

Older rumours had indicated that the Galaxy Z Fold Lite would come with the Snapdragon 865 under the hood but would not support 5G and not have the Ultra Thin Glass layer either. 

This ‘Lite’ version might also miss out on some other features because it has to be priced lesser than the speculated $1,100 ( ₹80,441 approx). Which is not exactly cheap, however, it is lesser than the Original Galaxy Fold, the Fold 2 and the Z Flip.

The Z fold Lite might launch in India in the Mirror Purple and Mirror Black options.
