Samsung’s upcoming iPhone rival, Galaxy S21 Ultra shows up in Gold; priced half a crore

We are still days away from seeing Samsung officially launch its Galaxy S21 series. This smartphone lineup that has been rumoured since past few months, is said to include the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and the S21 Ultra, which is also the most powerful of them all. However, it looks like the upcoming S21 Ultra, which will be anyway priced more than other two, will get the Caviar treatment as well.

In case you didn't know, Caviar is a company that makes a custom Gold version of several tech devices including headphones, gaming consoles and smartphones. It has done that in the past and it will be doing the same with the Galaxy S21 Ultra. 

The company has not just confirmed that there will be a custom-made Gold version of the phone but has also went ahead and created an entire page on its website showcasing the smartphones’ back panel, giving us the clearest look yet on the design.

As per the images, the Golden Galaxy S21 Ultra seems to have four sensors at the back in addition to a laser autofocus sensor. The design falls in line with the past leaks but the only thing that has changed is the Caviar edition is the company’s logo inside the rectangle enclosure at the bottom.

“The case is made of black ultra-durable PVD coating, which contrasts favorably with the decorative elements of shiny pure gold. An impression of luxury and grace is created by combining strict lines with the laser engraved number 21,” states the listing. “The gold Caviar inscription in the lower right corner adds a special chic not impeding the overall laconic design.”

According to the firm, this model will include Ultra Durable PVD coating along with pure gold and a laser engraved number 21. Caviar says that it is using 750 grams of Gold in this and the device itself will be just one unit made worldwide.

And as expected, the price of this golden Samsung Galaxy S 21 Ultra will be high. The company has priced it at $77,230, which is roughly ₹56 lakh.

Unfortunately, none of the specifications or the features have been mentioned by the website. But from the images one can see that there is a volume and power button on the right side and no buttons on the left.

Samsung will be introducing its Galaxy S21 series in January next year. The handsets are said to hit the Indian shelves in the same month.
