One of the concepts that the company showcased at the event was a bi-folding Galaxy smartphone -- something that has been in the works for quite some time now. Sam Mobiles reports that when the device is unfolded completely, it has a maximum size of 7.2-inches. When folded twice, it can be used as a smartphone, when unfolded it becomes a tablet-like display.

Samsung also showcased a slidable OLED display at the event. It’s not the rollable OLED displays that LG has displayed in the past but slightly different. In this case, it is possible to extend the display horizontally without requiring any folds.

Apart from this, Samsung also showcased a 17-inch foldable panel with an aspect ratio of 4:3 when completely unfolded, giving us a glimpse of what the company’s future displays would look like. Lastly, the company unveiled its under-panel camera (UPC) display. This display will initially be used for notebooks and it will make the notebook displays truly edge-to-edge.

All said and done, these are just some of the concepts that Samsung showcased at the exhibition and there is no telling if the company would actually bring some of these concepts to the market.
