Samsung to launch Galaxy A52 5G in India very soon

Samsung is working on a 5G version of its recently launched Galaxy A52 handset. According to Sammobile, Samsung Galaxy A52 5G with model number SM-A526B will come to India as well. The report further says that the company has already begun working on firmware development for the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G could come with a slightly higher price tag than its 4G counterpoint. The Galaxy A52 (4G) launched in India last month for ₹26,499. The new model could cost around ₹31,000.

It is not clear what upgrades the new model will bring other than 5G support. As far as the original 4G version goes, it comes with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full HD+ resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The phone also comes with an in-screen fingerprint reader.

In the photography department, Samsung Galaxy A52 5G will come with a quad-camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor. The configuration will also feature 12-megapixel, 5-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. On the front, it houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

For performance, the handset relies on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor. It comes in 6GB/8GB RAM options and 128GB/256GB storage options. The phone also has a microSD card slot to offer additional storage. A 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging powers the phone.

Separately, Samsung has begun rolling out May 2021 security patch for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20 and Z Fold 2 handsets. Apart from the latest security patch, the update also brings improvements to the cameras and quick share function on these devices. The new update is reportedly rolling out to users in Europe first.
