Vivo X70 Pro launch likely soon? Smartphone spotted on Bluetooth SIG, IMDA sites

Vivo’s next-generation X-series smartphones have been in the news for quite some time now. Reports in the past have detailed that the upcoming Vivo X70 series consists of three smartphones, which includes the vanilla Vivo X70, Vivo X70 Pro and Vivo X70 Pro+. Reports have all detailed the specifications of the upcoming smartphone series. Now, the Vivo X70 Pro has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG and IMDA certification sites.

While the listing on the IMDA certification platform reveals that the Vivo X70 Pro smartphone will come with 5G, WLAN, and NFC connectivity options, the listing on Bluetooth SIG reveals that the phone will bear the model number v2105 and that it will come with Bluetooth version 5.2 technology.

The upcoming Vivo X70 Pro was recently spotted at the Geekbench benchmarking site. The listing on Geekbench reveals that the smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s 6nm Dimensity 1200 chipset that will be coupled with 12GB of RAM, and run on Google’s Android 11 mobile operating system. The phone scored 859 points in the single-core test and 2946 points in the multi-core test on the platform.

Separately, reports have hinted that the top variant of the series, that is the Vivo X70 Pro+ will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor that is coupled with a 4,500mAh and a 65W fast charger. Additionally, reports have hinted towards the phone getting a bigger 1/1.28-inch sensor. Beyond this, there is no word on the camera technology or the display technology that will be available in the upcoming Vivo X70 series smartphones.

It is worth noting that Vivo hasn’t made a formal announcement regarding its upcoming X70 series yet. However, given the fact the series has started appearing on certification sites, it should launch soon. That said, the upcoming Vivo X70 series is expected to arrive in China first. There is no word on a global launch yet.
