As the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Pro comes closer, we are getting some new information about the two powerful handsets. Just a day after confirming the launch date of the duo as March 29, Xiaomi today confirmed another piece of rumour - the inclusion of Samsung’s ISOCELL GN2’s 1/1.12-inch sensor in Mi 11 Ultra.
In case you aren’t aware, Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor has capability to shoot at 50-megapixels and has 1.4 µm large pixels. It also uses 4 is to 1 pixel binning tech. All this comes in addition to Dual Pixel Pro autofocus system for better focus locking on subjects, alongside the ability to shoot videos at 4K resolution and 120fps.
Nothing else has been confirmed about the cameras yet.
However, based on previous rumours, the Mi 11 Ultra is supposed to feature a massive camera bump at the back, consisting of three sensors that seems to include a periscope zoom lens as well. The camera module is also said to include a 120X Ultra Pixel AI Camera, a triple LED flash unit and a small secondary screen. This secondary screen can display any app on the phone and can be used for taking selfies using the rear cameras.
Some other rumoured specs include a 6.8-inch OLED screen with WQHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. There could be a punch-hole in the upper-left corner of the screen that houses a 20MP camera for selfies. The device is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 888 and may have a 5,000mAh battery as well.
