Xiaomi Redmi 9: New leak reveals key specifications, design, and price

Xiaomi’s Redmi is set to launch its new smartphone “Redmi 9” in China on June 25. Ahead of the official release, the smartphone has been spotted on Lazada's website. The listing reveals images, specifications, and prices of the Redmi 9.

According to the listing, Redmi 9 has a waterdrop notch on the front. The phone has four rear cameras, vertically aligned at the top centre. There are two modules with the first one featuring three camera sensors and fingerprint sensor. The other module has one camera sensor and LED flash. The module has a circular patch in the foreground. The design is very identical to the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s.

As far as specifications go, Redmi 9 is said to have MediaTek Helio G80 processor coupled with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. There is a 3GB and 32GB variant as well. The phone is said to support microSD card for expandable storage.

Redmi 9 is said to come with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display. The front has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The quad-camera setup on the back is said to have a 13-megapixel sensor, 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, 5-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

According to the listing, Redmi 9 will be powered by a 5,020mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Other leaked features of Redmi 9 include a fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM support, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
