Mi’s first laptop in India could be rebranded RedmiBook 13

Mi, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, has already announced it is going to enter the laptop market in India later this month. The company, however, did not disclose specifics of its laptop other than it will be thin and light-weight. According to a new report, the Mi laptop will be a rebranded version of the RedmiBook 13.

91 Mobiles via leakster Ishan Agarwal reports that the first Mi laptop in India will have a bezel-less screen and run on Intel’s Core i7 processor. The report says Xiaomi’s Mi is likely to launch the RedmiBook 13 variant it launched in December in China last year and not the Ryzen model which debuted just recently.

The website has also published a leaked promo teaser of the laptop which focuses on storage, power usage, and battery life.

“With Mi notebooks, you will get a minimalistic but elegant design, at the same time, it will be loaded with the technology that will make it worthwhile for all the power users out there,” Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Xiaomi India had told Hindustan Times last week.

Reddy had also said that the company will bring very few SKUs to help users easily decide the model they want to purchase.

That said, RedmiBook 13 is rumoured to come with a 13-inch display. The China model has 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The laptop is available in Core i5 and Core i7 variants. There’s also a 2GB Nvidia model.

Other top features of RedmiBook 13 include 40Whr battery, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual 2W speakers with DTS Audio support.
