Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 appears on WiFi Alliance, inches closer to India launch

Xiaomi, earlier this month, launched the Redmi Note 9 globally. Now, the word is that the smartphone is likely to arrive in India soon.

According to a report by GizChina, the Indian version of the budget smartphone was recently listed on Wi-Fi Alliance. The listing reveals that the Redmi Note 9 will run on Android 10 and come with dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. The listing also reveals that the phone will arrive in India soon.

As far as the features are concerned, we already know everything about the Redmi Note 9. To give you a brief, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The smartphone, which is the watered down variant of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G86 system-on-chip that is coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. The smartphone, as mentioned before, runs on Android 10.

Coming to the camera, the Redmi Note 9 features a quad-rear camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the phone has a 13-megapixel camera for selfies. It runs on a 5,020mAh battery and it features support for 18W fast charging.

Globally, the Redmi Note 9 costs $200 ( ₹15,600 approximately). We will know more about the India price when the phone makes a debut in the country.
