Redmi Note 10 series is coming soon. Even as Xiaomi has not announced a launch date yet, reports suggest it could debut later this month. Already, Redmi Note 10 has created a lot of buzz with its leaked specifications, especially in the camera department. According to rumours, Redmi Note 10 could sport 108-megapixel camera – a first for Xiaomi’s popular budget smartphone series.
The latest leaks come via tipster Digital Chat station which hinted that a Xiaomi phone featuring ‘J17' model number might come with a 108-megapixel camera. The tipster also revealed the camera setup could come with a macro sensor. While the leak was not specific for Note 10, another tip from a leakster confirmed Redmi Note 10 series would have the model number M2007J17C, reports Gadgets360.
A 108-megapixel camera will give Xiaomi Redmi Note series advantage over the competition which has generally maxed to 48-megapixel and 64-megapixel sensors. It will also be a big upgrade over the Redmi Note 9 series.
The top-end model in Redmi Note 9 series is the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The phone comes with a 64-megapixel AI quad-camera setup that consists of 64MP primary camera (1/1.7 inch CMOS image sensor, 1.6μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel, f/1.89), 8MP ultra-wide angle camera (1.12μm, f/2.2,FOV 119°), 5MP macro camera (2cm focus distance, 1.12μm), and 2MP depth sensor (1.75μm). The camera can also take 10x digital zoom photos. It also supports PDAF and has single-tone flash. In terms of video capabilities, it has 4K recording at 30fps and 960 fps slow-motion video recording capabilities.
