Truecaller Call Reason, SMS Translate and SMS Schedule: What's coming to Android and what's coming to iOS

Truecaller, the app better known for its caller ID capabilities, has introduced Call Reason, Schedule SMS and SMS Translate features for users globally. We have talked about the features at length already. However, not all the users are getting these features just yet. While one is coming to both Android and iOS, the other two are Android-exclusive only for now.

Before you get excited, the most useful feature, Call Reason will start rolling out to all Android users soon and will be launching for iOS early next year.

On the other hand, Schedule SMS feature and SMS Translate are unfortunately, limited to Android only for now. There's no word on when this will come to iOS users.

As a refresher, Call Reason lets you set a reason for your call. This enables the receiver to check what the call is about. This can be an incoming call that is personal, business or something urgent. The idea behind it is to make each call worth it and save users from unwanted marketing robo calls.

The Schedule SMS feature can let you schedule a message reminder of any events, meetings, or anything else for that matter. In addition, the SMS Translate feature, as the name suggests, translates the content of messages directly in Truecaller without leaving the app. It is worth adding that this feature works on both SMS and instant messages (IM). Truecaller is rolling out these features for free for all the users.
