Fossil launched three new smartwatches at its event at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021, which is being held virtually this year in light of the pandemic. The list includes the Fossil Gen 5 LTE, Skagen Jorn Hybrid HR, and Michael Kors Access Gen 5E.
Fossil Gen 5 LTE
First up is the Fossil Gen 5 LTE smartwatch. This smartwatch comes with a 1.3-inch touchscreen display that is housed inside a stainless steel case. It offers up to 24 hours of battery life. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon WearTM 3100 platform that is coupled with 8GB of storage space and 1GB of RAM. It runs on Google’s Wear OS. It has a bunch of sensors and functionalities including a heart rate sensor, NFC, GPS, an altimeter, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an ambient light sensor, a microphone and a speaker. It comes with 4G LTE connectivity and it features support for wireless syncing and magnetic charging technologies.
The Fossil Gen 5 LTE smartwatch is priced at $349 ( ₹25,648 approx.) and it will be available in the US beginning this spring in Black and Pink colour variants and 45mm size variant.
Skagen Jorn Hybrid HR
Next in line is the Skagen Jorn Hybrid HR. It is available in 38mm and 42mm size variants and five colour variants. It comes with an e-ink display and it offers up to two weeks of battery life. It comes with a bunch of features such as activity and sleep tracking feature, custom goal tracking feature, auto workout detection, custom watch faces, integrated heart rate sensor, GPS and an accelerometer. It also features music controls, notifications and app alerts, real-time weather monitoring, stopwatch, front light for low light visibility, Bluetooth connectivity and rapid charging technology. It is water-resistant up to 3 ATM. There is no word on price and availability yet.
Michael Kors Access Gen 5E
Lastly, the company also launched the Michael Kors Access Gen 5E smartwatch. This smartwatch costs $250 ( ₹18,373approx.) and it is available in two models, the Darci that comes in three colours and the MKGO that comes in four colours. Both the models feature a 1.19-inch AMOLED display. While Darci has been made using stainless steel, MKGO uses aluminium. Both the variants run on Google’s Wear OS, come with 4GB of storage space and feature an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a heart rate monitor, a microphone, a speaker along with NFC, tethered GPS and up to 36 hours of battery life.
