Xiaomi ‘Smarter Living’ event today, Mi Smart Band 5, Mi Watch Evolve, and more expected

Xiaomi will host its annual ‘Smarter Living’ virtual event today. This year, Xiaomi will launch a wide range of new products including Mi Smart Band 5 and Mi Watch Evolve. Here is what we know about the products so far.

What to expect at the event

Xiaomi’s Smarter Living events generally focus on accessories and IoT products. Last year, the company launched new smart TVs, soundbar, smart water purifier and Mi Band 4. We are expecting a similar lineup this year as well.

Mi Smart Band 5: Xiaomi is likely to launch a new smart band in India today. The successor to the Mi Smart Band 4 is likely to launch with a price tag of ₹2,999.

Mi Band 5 (China model) comes with a 1.1-inch display and comes with 100 new watch faces. It features a 6-axis sensor and PPG heart rate sensor. The magnetic charger helps deliver 14 days of extra battery life. It has 5 ATM waterproof rating. It is powered by a 125mAh battery.

There is also a special women’s health tracking feature that provides recording and reminders for the menstrual cycle and ovulation phases.

Mi Watch Revolve: The smartwatch is said to be a rebranded version of Mi Watch Color which launched in China recently. The smartwatch is said to come with a circular display with multiple watchfaces support. It’s likely to have a 1.39-inch AMOLED display. Other expected features include NFC, 24x7 heart rate sensor, and 14 days of battery life. It’s likely to launch in India for ₹10,000 approximately.
