Call of Duty Mobile’s next big update to bring new maps, features
Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 will reportedly roll out early next month. From new maps to new operator skills, here is what you can expect from the update.
Call of Duty: Mobile's next big update will bring two popular maps from Modern Warfare.
As spotted in a public test build of the Call of Duty Mobile, the new maps will be Shipment and Terminal, reports dotesports.
According to the report, the Terminal will be a medium-sized map. Set at an airport, the map will have both indoors and outdoors format. The Shipment will be a smaller map which usually sees a fast-paced action. The map, however, could be used for limited modes such as Deathmatch or Search and Destroy.
The report further says that Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 will release on August 6. The next big season will bring a slew of new features, improvements, and characters among others.
Call of Duty Mobile's new season will have a new Alcatraz map for Battle Royale players. Other new maps expected are Pine (for 2x2 matches) and Terminal as mentioned earlier.
A Gunsmith weapon attachment will also be available. For scorestreak, the game will have Shield Turret, a popular killstreak from Modern Warfare. There will also be a new Equalizer operator skill, reports Fossbytes.
Another highlight of the new season is going to be 10x10 multiplayer game mode. The mode is likely to have a longer duration of matches. It is not clear whether CoD Mobile will optimise the existing matches or have separate ones. It will be interesting to see if the mode is implemented in the ranked matches as well.
Call of Duty Season 8 is going to one of the shortest seasons so far. The developers had planned to launch the season much earlier. But it could roll out just recently. We're likely to find out more about the new season in coming days.
