Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been delayed indefinitely
The studio tasked with the remake said they needed more time to deliver a game that feels fresh and yet remains true to the original.
Ubisoft has announced on Twitter that the much-awaited Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time game has been indefinitely. We had told you about the game last year and it has been in the works for a while now, but it looks like it's going to take longer for it to arrive.

Ubisoft Pune, the studio tasked with remaking one of the most popular entries in the series, said the reason for the delay was to ensure the game receives extra development time that will allow the team to “deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original”.

This is the second time Ubisoft has pushed back the release date for The Sands of Time remake. The game was supposed to release on January 21 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Ubisoft had pushed the date back to March 18 and had cited the pandemic as the reason.
However, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is not the only Ubisoft title that has been delayed recently. In October last year, the game creator announced that Far Cry 6 and Tom Calncy's Rainbow Six Quarantine would be delayed into the “2021 fiscal year” so both the titles should launch sometime between April 2021 and March 2022.
