Apple iPhone 13 to come with faster WiFi 6E connectivity
The report also states that it is possible that Apple will ditch the ‘iPhone 13’ naming to opt for ‘iPhone 12s’ name instead.
It has barely been three months since Apple launched the iPhone 12 series smartphones that reports have started detailing what we should expect from the company’s 2021 smartphone lineup, that is, the iPhone 13 series. Now, a new report talks about a key connectivity feature that is likely to be included in the series.
As per a report by GizChina, Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Thomas O Malley believe that Apple will release its first iPhone models that feature support for Wi-Fi 6E 2021. In simple words, words, the iPhone 13 series will come with Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
The analysts also believe that Broadcom will be one of the biggest benefactors of this move. Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone based on Broadcom chips that feature support for WiFi 6E. Now, Apple is likely to follow its suit.
Interestingly, the report also states that it is possible that Apple will ditch the ‘iPhone 13’ naming to opt for ‘iPhone 12s’ name instead. But that, of course, remains to be seen.
Separately, reports have hinted towards the iPhone 13 including Rzx, Tx, and flood illuminator sensors into one camera for an improved Face ID. This is expected to make the notch smaller. In addition to that, reports also hint towards the iPhone 13 series smartphones getting 120Hz displays. Apart from this, reports also hint that Apple will remove the charging port in its 2021 iPhone models. All said and done, it is too early to say what iPhone 13 will bring for us. And so it is advisable to take these details with a pinch of salt.
