Asus ROG Phone 3 spotted on Geekbench with 12GB RAM

Asus is expected to launch its third gaming smartphone next month. The ROG Phone 3 has been rumoured for quite some time and it has now appeared on benchmarking website, Geekbench.

The Geekbench listing of an Asus phone with the model code 1003DD is speculated to be of the ROG Phone 3. Based on the listing, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor paired with 12GB of RAM. The smartphone also runs on Android 10.

The same Asus phone was previously spotted on Geekbench with 8GB of RAM. This could be the base model of ROG Phone 3. The smartphone has already received Wi-Fi certification as well. The specs revealed so far are mostly expected from the ROG Phone 3.

The ROG Phone 2 for instance, runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855+ processor with up to 12GB of RAM. It also has a 120Hz display, 6,000mAh battery and a 48-megapixel dual camera setup.

Asus is said to launch another smartphone alongside the ROG Phone 3. It would be its flagship Zenfone 7 smartphone which succeeds the Zenfone 6. There's no information on the Zenfone 7 as yet.

The new Asus flagship phones will reportedly launch next month. Asus usually updates its flagship phones around this time. The ROG Phone 3 and Zenfone 7 will most likely debut first in Taiwan but Asus is expected to bring the phones to global markets including India soon.
