Exclusive: Poco to launch a new phone in India in next ‘20-25 days’
Poco, now an independent brand of Xiaomi, will soon launch a new smartphone in India. The smartphone will be released in the next 20-25 days. The revelation was made by Poco India General Manager C Manmohan an interview to Hindustan Times.
Without divulging more details about the phone, Manmohan said, “We are definitely going to launch a new phone soon… We want to ensure the philosophy we had is brought to different price ranges.”
It is worth noting that Poco has a very slim product lineup in India at the moment. It had debuted in August 2018 with Poco F1, which remained the only phone with Poco branding for over one year. The company returned to the market with Poco X2 in India in February this year.
Poco, in the meanwhile, has also launched a Poco F2 Pro in the European market. Unlike the mid-ranger Poco X2, the new Poco F2 Pro has high-end specifications such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 64-megapixel primary camera, and 4,700mAh battery with 30W fast charge support.
Apart from phones, Poco has also forayed into the truly wireless earbuds space. The company recently confirmed its first-ever TWS earbuds will be called Poco Pop Buds.
We will be posting more insights from our conversation with Poco’s Manmohan. Stay tuned.
