Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro renders leaked, shows an entirely new design and we’re excited
The leaks come courtesy Jon Prosser and shows off a startling new design for the Pixel 6 series. It’s something we’ve never seen before and Pixel lovers have something to be excited about.
Google has kept it simple with the Pixel smartphones over the past few years as far as the design is concerned. New leaks have given us a look at what the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro might look like and if they are anything to go by, we are looking at a complete, exciting new redesign. For starters, there are two phone renders that have been “leaked” - the Google Pixel 6 Pro and the Pixel 6. Last year, Google had launched only the flagship Pixel 5. Here's what the Pixel 6 series might look like:
Going by the renders, the Pixel 6 is smaller and has only two cameras on the back that are housed in a rather unique-looking camera module on the back. These could be the normal wide sensor and an ultra-wide sensor. The Pixel 6 Pro is bigger and sports three sensors on the back where the third sensor could be a telephoto lens. As GSMArena points out, it doesn't look like a periscope-type lens so one should not explicit more than 3x optical magnification.
A new array of sensors on the back should also mean that Google might update the sensors. On the front, the hole-punch for the selfie camera has been moved from the left corner to the center and the bezels are almost gone.
These leaks come courtesy Jon Prosser, but they have also been “confirmed” by Max Weinbach who stated that while the design is accurate, the colours are not.

just wait till you guys hear the pixel 6 specs— Max Weinbach (@MaxWinebach) May 13, 2021
Weinbach also hinted that the specs on the Pixel 6 series will see quite an improvement as well. The renders shared by Prosser show a dual-tone design, not the first For Google, but we've not seen them do dual tone like this yet. However, as older leaks have suggested, Google might stick to its ‘boring' design for the Pixel a series, as seen in leaks of the Pixel 5a.
Now, these renders don't come from Google, they've been created by Prosser and Ian Zelbo (@RendersbyIan) and are based on “real-life images” of the phone. Prosser has a track record of being pretty accurate with leaks, so honestly, we are quite excited. With Google's Pixel 5a waiting for a roll out, we might have to wait till 2021 Fall to see the Pixel 6 series.
