iPhone 14 Max launch now almost a MONTH away! What upgrades would it bring?
iPhone 14 Max is expected to launch in less than a month’s time and here are all the new upgrades we expect this year.
The iPhone 14 series is now the next big smartphone launch that we are looking forward to. This year, we would be getting four new models but with a twist. There is the usual 6.1-inch iPhone 14 along with the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and the bigger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, there won't be an iPhone 14 Mini and Apple could most likely fill its void with a new 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, or iPhone 14 Plus, as some say. This will be the big new iPhone that could be more popular with the masses.
The leaks say that in theory, the iPhone 14 Max will simply be a larger sized version of the iPhone 14. In reality though, it seems the Max variant would bring in some reasonable upgrades that could make this the new popular iPhone model; just like how it used to be in the days of the iPhone 6s Plus, or iPhone 7 Plus. With the launch expected to happen in less than a month, here is a wrap of everything we know about this new giant iPhone 14.
iPhone 14 Max is coming: Here is what to expect
Big in size!
The iPhone 14 Max will be big in size. The larger display could make it almost as big as the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Considering the flat sides on new iPhones, this iPhone 14 Max could be cumbersome to control.
The 6.7-inch display on a non-Pro iPhone will be a welcome change for lovers of large displays. Compared to the 6.1-inch iPhone, the 6.7-inch display offers a lot more space to see and fit content. If Apple decided to use a 90Hz panel, it could make for smooth animations while scrolling. This one will continue to have the small notch like the iPhone 13, which could be a bummer for many.
Max-xed battery life
The bigger chassis could also mean that Apple may stuff the same large battery from the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Based on our time with the Pro Max so far, this could mean the iPhone 14 Max may have tremendously good battery life. With the older A15 chip and lesser features to boot, buyers could expect up to two days of battery life on a single charge.
Older A15 chipset
Sadly, Apple may not upgrade the chipset on the iPhone 14 Max after coming from the iPhone 13. Technically, it will be fast with the 6-core GPU A15 Bionic chipset and 6GB RAM, but it won't have raw power of the new A16 Bionic chip. Nonetheless, the A15 is still blistering fast and the iPhone 14 Max is certainly going to exhibit seamless performance.
Not much is known about the cameras so far. Rumours suggest the same 12MP dual camera setup at the back, and a new front camera with autofocus function. The LiDAR sensor would also skip this iPhone, considering that it is restricted to the Pro variants only.
Old “New” Colours
The iPhone 14 Max could be getting these five colours at launch. There will be the usual Black and White (possibly Midnight and Starlight). The Blue colour could be carried over as well and so will the Red, otherwise known as Product Red. The Green and Pink colours won't make it but Apple could return the Purple shade from the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 series.
