iQOO 9 gets another upgrade, makes itself more TEMPTING than ever!
iQOO 9 Phoenix Orange colour variant launches in India. This colour variant changes colour under the sunlight.
iQOO 9 has been one of the most tempting high-end smartphones to consider ever since its launch in February 2022. Despite being the middle child in the diverse iQOO 9 series, the iQOO 9 is a great buy for those who want the flagship experience without missing out on value. While it was already a great deal, iQOO now gives you another reason to consider it – its ability to change colours! No kidding, the iQOO 9 now goes orange under the Sunlight.
iQOO has just launched a new colour variant of the iQOO 9, called the Phoenix Orange. When put under sunlight, the back of the phone will change its colour shade. This isn't a new thing, given that its parent brand Vivo has already done the colour-shifting design earlier with the Vivo V23 Pro. In fact, Realme too did the colour-shifting back panel with the Realme 9 Pro Plus.
iQOO 9 now changes colours!
Despite the new colour variant, the prices remain unchanged. Hence, even in the Phoenix Orange colour variant, the iQOO 9 will cost Rs. 42,990 for the base 8GB/128GB variant. You will have to pay Rs. 46,990 for the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. This variant will be available to buy on both Amazon and iQOO India's online store.
You should also note that the rest of the specifications remain unchanged. Hence, you still get the same Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset underneath paired with upto 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone relies on the same 4350mAh battery and the very fast 120W wired charging. You also get FunTouch OS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box.
The display on the iQOO 9 measures 6.5-inches and uses a 10-bit AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The rear camera system gets a 48MP main camera with 5-axis Gimbal stabilisation, which is accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP portrait camera with 2X optical zoom.
“The new vibrant colour of iQOO 9 is produced by a geometric craft on Frosty AG Glass. It changes colour when exposed to sunlight and other sources of artificial UV rays and transforms into different colours. The UV Rays of Sunshine changes the internal structure of glass molecules resulting in changing the existing colour to Phoenix (Orange) colour variant. Ever used a stencil, try using it on the iQOO 9 to create a unique design on the back cover of the smartphone,” says iQOO in a media note.
