Indian smartphone maker Lava International has launched its first 5G smartphone in India. The company today launched the Lava Agni 5G in India. It is not only the company's first 5G smartphone but it is also the company's costliest smartphone yet. It costs ₹19,999 in India, which is significantly more than the smartphones that the company has launched in India in the past.

As far as the price is concerned, the Lava Agni 5G costs INR 19,999 in India for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The Lava Agni 5G will go on sale in the country via Amazon India, Flipkart, and offline channels starting November 18.

It will be available for pre-bookings via Amazon India and the Lava e-store starting today. Interested buyers who pre-book the newly launched Lava Agni 5G smartphone will have to pay an initial amount of INR 500 at the time of pre-booking the device. Later, they will get a discount of INR 2,000, which will bring down the effective price of the Lava Agni 5G smartphone to INR 17,999.

Lava Agni 5G specifications

Coming to the specifications, the newly launched Lava Agni 5G features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a centre-placed hole-punch design that houses the phone's front camera. The Lava Agni 5G is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 system-on-chip that is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. It runs on Google's Android 11 mobile OS.

Coming to the cameras, the dual-SIM Lava Agni 5G features a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 six-piece lens, a 5MP wide-angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the Lava Agni 5G includes a 16MP selfie camera. For connectivity, the newly launched Lava Agni 5G smartphone has 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port and for security, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Lastly, the battery. The newly launched Lava Agni 5G is backed by a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging technology, which the company says can charge completely in less than 90 minutes.
