Micromax In 1 specifications leaked ahead of March 19 launch

Micromax’s new phone in the In series will launch on March 19. Here is what we know about the upcoming handset so far.

Micromax is gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone in the country. The Indian company had made a comeback to the smartphone market in November last year with an In series. The upcoming phone, dubbed as the In 1, will go official on March 19.

According to a new leak, Micromax's In 1 will come with a 6.67-inch display with a punch-hole cutout and full HD+ resolution. For performance, the phone will reportedly feature MediaTek's Helio G80 processor. The phone will come with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB ROM. A 5,000mAh battery will power the phone. The In 1 will also ship with an 18W fast charger.

In the camera department, Micromax In 1 is said to come with a triple-sensor setup. The configuration will feature a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The other two sensors will 2-megapixel and 2-megapixel resolution. On the front, it will house an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone will also feature a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

That said, Micromax is expanding its smartphone portfolio in the coming weeks. Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma recently announced that the company would launch a new handset in March and 4-5 models from April onwards. He also said that the company would refresh the portfolio every six to eight months. The plans also include offering 5G phones.

The current In lineup features In Note 1 and In 1b handsets. The Micromax In Note 1 is available in India in two variants. The base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space is priced at ₹10,999. The top-end model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space costs ₹12,499. Similarly, In 1b comes in two variants. The base model with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space is priced at ₹6,999, the other variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space costs ₹7,999.
