HMD Global has long been rumoured to be working on a Nokia foldable phone. The smartphone was expected to launch in the first quarter of the year. It hasn't happened yet. Now, a new report claims Nokia hasn't shelved the foldable phone project.

According to Nokia Anew, a leakster which has a fine record of leaking Nokia devices in advance, the foldable phone project is still alive. Right now, it's not clear whether the phone will be a foldable smartphone like Galaxy Fold or a basic phone with a clamshell design like Nokia 2720. According to reports, Nokia's new foldable phone could launch later this year or early 2021.

Separately, HMD Global on Friday launched three new Nokia smartphones in the US. The new phones are the Nokia C5 Endi, Nokia C2 Tava and Nokia C2 Tennen. The latest Nokia phones come with dedicated Google Assistant launcher. Like older Nokia phones, Endi, Tava and Tennen run on Google's Android One platform.

Nokia C5 Endi is priced at 12,700 approximately. The C2 Tava and Tennen are priced at 8,300 approx. and 5,200 approx. You can check more details about the new Nokia smartphones here.
