The Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G Diwali Edition will be unveiled along with the F19s on September 27. The basic specifications seem to remain unchanged.

The Oppo Reno 6 Pro Diwali Edition will launch in India on September 27. It will be based on the Reno 6 Pro launched earlier this year, which  was the company’s high-end offering for buyers seeking a fancy camera phone. We reviewed the phone at HT Tech and were left mighty impressed with its camera as well as other key “smartphone aspects”.

Called the Oppo Reno 6 Pro Diwali Edition, the smartphone will get a special coat of Majestic Gold paintjob. An adjoining render of the device shows a pinkish colour tone similar to the recent Pink iPhone 13 series. Oppo is yet to reveal the prices as well as the entire spec sheet, although it seems the new colour is the only thing that’s new.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro Diwali Edition launching soon

Oppo has so far confirmed that similar to vanilla version, the Diwali Edition will continue to have the same basic features and specs. Hence, you will continue to see the popular Dimensity 1200 chipset being managed by Oppo’s ColorOS 11.3 software. The 65W fast charging is also going to be a part of the special edition.

The standard Oppo Reno 6 Pro features a large 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with curved edges and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display has a punch-hole cutout holding the 32-megapixel front camera. On the back, the camera setup includes a 64-megapixel main camera adjoined by a 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera.

The highlight of this camera system is the Bokeh Flair Video feature that essentially brings the benefits of Portrait mode to videos. The cameras fared well in our review.

The Reno 6 Pro relies on a 4500mAh battery and it uses Oppo’s proprietary 65W charging solution to top the battery in under 40 minutes.

The Reno 6 Pro starts at a price of 39,900 in India and we expect the Diwali Edition to cost a couple of thousands more owing to its special edition status. Oppo will also launch a the blue coloured version of the Enco Buds wireless earbuds on September 27 along with the Oppo F19s smartphone.
