htPoco is gearing for its next smartphone launch in India. Poco has already launched Poco F2 Pro globally but for the Indian market it's prepping a different phone. Dubbed as Poco M2 Pro, key details of the smartphone have appeared in Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliances databases.

According to GSMArena, the SIG listing reveals Poco M2 Pro comes with MIUI 11 and Bluetooth 5.0. The website points out that the declaration ID of the phone is same as one of the Redmi Note 9 phones.

On the Wi-Fi Alliance, the listing shows the phone running on Android 10 and confirms the Poco M2 Pro. The phone is also seen running dual-band Wi-Fi. GSMArena highlights that the “gram” kernel source is same as the Redmi Note 9 Pro. This has led to speculations Poco M2 Pro could be a rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Ahead of the official launch, Poco M2 Pro has made multiple appearances on the web. Just last month, the phone spotted on Xiaomi's India RF exposure page.

Poco is currently building hype around its next audio device. The company recently crowd sourced the name for its upcoming truly wireless earbuds. Poco's wireless earbuds, to be officially called Poco Pop Buds, are likely to compete with the Realme Buds Air when it arrives in India.

Earlier this month, Poco launched the Poco F2 Pro with premium specifications and features. The phone has a 6.67-inch full-screen FHD+ AMOLED display with no notch and no punch-hole. Poco F2 Pro runs Android 10 out-of-the-box and is powered by a 4,700mAh battery with 30W fast charge support.

Other important features of the phone include 64-megapixel rear camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G chip, and up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage.
