The Redmi Note 11 series has launched globally, consisting of four models in the lineup. Here are the features of all models.
The Redmi Note 11 series is now official. The successor to last year's Redmi Note 10 series is finally here. There are four models this time with varying levels of specs and features. There are two vanilla Redmi Note 11 models and two Pro variants, one of which supports 5G networks. The models launching in India are expected to have the same features, but pricing could be different.
Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S
The Redmi Note 11and Redmi Note 11S are essentially differently equipped variants of the same phone. They both share the same 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a higher refresh rate of 90Hz and touch sampling rate of 180Hz. Brightness levels can go up to 700 nits and there's Gorilla Glass 3. The phones have a mildly updated design with IP53 water resistance rating.
The Redmi Note 11 uses the power efficient Snapdragon 680 chip whereas the Note 11S gets a faster MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. The phone debut with MIUI 13 out of the box, with Android 11 underneath. The phones get NFC, dual speakers, 3.5mm jacks, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The phones rely on 5000mAh battery and support 33W fast wired charging.
The Redmi Note 11S has a 108MP HM2 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The Redmi Note 11 has to make do with a regular 50MP main camera instead of a 108MP camera. The Note 11S also gets a 16MP selfie camera while the Redmi Note 11 only has a 13MP camera.
Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
The Redmi Note 11 Pro duo are massive upgrades over the last generation Pro variants of the Redmi Note 10 series. Both the models feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3, and peak brightness levels of 1200 nits. There's Gorilla Glass 5 protection up front. The rear of the phone has a glass panel and the whole body is rated IP53 water and dust resistance.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G variant relies on the same MediaTek Helio G96 chip from the Redmi Note 11S. The Note 11 Pro 5G, on the other hand, relies on the Snapdragon 695 chip. The phones use up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Redmi is launching these phones with MIUI 13 based on Android 11.
Both the phones rely on a 5000mAh battery and both get a massively upgraded 67W wired charging system – this is much faster than the 33W systems on the older models. Redmi claims a 0-50 percent charge in 15 minutes.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G gets a triple rear camera system, consisting of a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The 4G variant also gets all these three camera sensors on the back, and an extra fourth 2MP depth camera. Both feature a 16MP camera for selfies.
