Samsung's long-awaited ‘Galaxy A01 Core' is inching closer to the official launch. While there is still no official word, the phone has been spotted on the NBTC which his Thailand's telecom regulator.

The certification does not reveal anything significant about the phone other than it will support dual-SIM and bear model number SM-A013G.

Galaxy A01 Core is said to be Samsung's cheapest phone in the Galaxy A series so far.

According to a recent leak, Samsung Galaxy A01 will feature a different look and feel than the current budget and entry-level Samsung phones. The phone is said to come with a textured coloured back panel which is likely to be a plastic shell. Samsung's new entry-level phone will be available in at least red and blue colour options.

As seen in the recent leaks, the Samsung Galaxy A01 Core will have an old 18:9 aspect ratio and skip the fingerprint sensor. In terms of specifications, Samsung Galaxy A01 Core will have a 5.14-inch TFT screen with HD resolution.

The phone is expected to run on a MediaTek MT6739WW processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It will have Android 10 out-of-the-box with OneUI on top. Galaxy A01 Core could be one of the few modern smartphones to offer user-removable battery.
