Samsung Galaxy S21 India launch alongside global reveal

Samsung's Galaxy S21 series will launch in India the same day as the global debut, and half an hour earlier.

Samsung today announced it will host the next ‘Galaxy India Unpacked’ event on January 14 alongside the global event. The India launch of the Galaxy S21 series will take place on the same day as the global debut.

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 event in India is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm while the global event will take place at 10:00 am EST which is 8:30 pm IST for Indian viewers. Samsung Galaxy India Unpacked event will be livestreamed on the company’s YouTube channel, social channels, and official website. Samsung is expected to launch three new smartphones including the Galaxy S21, GalaxyS21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Samsung also released a new teaser for the Galaxy S21 launch. This one teases the new cameras and features. There’s one video mode that lets you shoot with the rear and front cameras, and also get close-up views of different people in the video. We also get a very quick glimpse of the smartphone which shows a thick camera bump.

Samsung will need to have some surprises in store for the Galaxy S21 launch event since there’s already a lot that has been revealed. We’ve already seen the official leaked images of the Galaxy S21 series, and also the camera specifications of all three smartphones. The Galaxy S21 series will be powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 2100 chipset, and most likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 as well.

Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the highlight of the series with a rumoured S Pen support, and a 108-megapixel quad camera. Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus will offer more or less the same features and specifications albeit some differences.
